Hi my name is Amy and I'm a mummy to Evie Mae, my lovely signing toddler. I had always wanted to sign with my child as my Dad is deaf and I wanted him to be able to speak with his grandchild in his first language (BSL). We attended a local baby signing class when Evie was 6 months old and never looked back! I was so excited when Evie signed to me the first time and I wish that everyone could communicate with their baby in the same way! She now knows about 50 signs and I'm so proud!!
I'm currently learning BSL at home and starting my college course in September. I have completed a Makaton course and I also volunteer in my local Children's Centre. Most of my time is spent playing with my hectic toddler but I also love to cook and bake cakes when I get the chance!
