Become an accredited Little Signers Club Practitioner
Little Signers Club Practitioner Training for Nurseries and Childminders enables those people supporting parents and young children by delivering a quality, fun, inclusive course for their setting by:
- Providing fun, interactive training courses designed to help professionals implement baby signing in settings
- Including ICAN supported communication development structures
- Providing dedicated Practitioner support
- Providing a clear framework for carers and young children to share in communication, attachment and bonding activities
We’d like to extend the support that our babies and parents receive in class by being able to recommend nurseries and childcare where signing to Little Signers Club standards is available. We offer a structured, British Sign Language based learning programme that covers important teaching points with an emphasis on fun. Little Signers Club makes absolutely sure that practitioners training with us cover key areas such as communication development, how to develop motor skills, encouraging communication and what to look for to see if a baby is ready to start signing.
Quality is absolutely integral to our training approach. In the same way that our classes are only run by accredited teachers, nurseries and other childcare providers can now access our training to be an accredited setting. In order to ensure that our training covers everything that you will need, we work with ICAN, the Children’s Communication Charity and all teachers and practitioners complete part 1 of the 0-3 communication programme on their initial training day.
