We know that peace of mind is important to you when making a decision about attending a class with your little one.

Our Clubs are known for their professional, engaging and supportive classes that have been shown to have a real impact for parents and little ones.

Little Signers Club set a bench mark in a hugely competitive marketplace, acheiving the accolade of Best Infant Signing Training Consultancy at the end of 2016.

We’re the only baby signing company in the UK who undertook rigorous training to cascade the Early Language Development Programme and subsequently become ICAN Licensed Tutors – putting communication at the very heart of our practice.

Our training has always been endorsed by Speech and Language Therapists.

Little Signers Club has spent a decade making sure that the classes that you attend are:

·        developmentally appropriate

·        supported by research

·        delivered by qualified* leaders

·        are insured (public liability insurance)

·        are safe (enhanced DBS check)

·        are endorsed by professional experts

As an organisation, Little Signers Club:

·        is a member of NEYTCO

·        has two ICAN licensed tutors

·        is supported by Cath Smith, the UK’s leading Early Years BSL Author

·        held Lead Practitioner status for the Early Language Development Programme

·        was an official partner for Hello, the year of communication with the Communication Trust – and invited to the Houses of Parliament to celebrate its success!

We take our role in the community, communication development and our role in shaping your journey, as a professional or parent, very seriously.

our feedback is testament to the high quality of the courses that we deliver and the hard work of all Little Signers Club Leaders

Little Signers Club works from myriad resources but our key inspiration comes from the following people, research and organisations to create rich and dynamic classes with a high interaction level, supporting and developing emerging speech for all children.  We are yet to find another organisation that can match our passion, expertise and support.

Signing Inspiration:

Dr Joseph Garcia; the world’s leading expert on baby signing.  His research has changed the way we communicate with our little ones for the better, leading to dramatic changes in bonding and relationships between parents and baby with a skill that will last a lifetime.

Marilyn Daniels; who pioneered research into the use of signing with older children and who continues to inspire us as we develop our programmes for pre-school and Key Stage 1.

Cath Smith; the most highly regarded British Sign Language Early Years authors in the UK

Communication Inspiration:

Libby Hill; Consultant Speech and Language Therapist.  Libby has always supported Little Signers Club and her expertise in all areas of Communication Development for little ones, her work with older children with APD, ASD and Selective Mutism are second to none. You may have seen her feature on Channel 4’s ‘Born Naughty?’ in 2016.

ICAN; the Childrens Communication Charity for whom we are proud to have two licensed tutors on the Little Signers Club team.  A myriad of helpful resources for parents and professionals alike.

Parenting and Development Inspiration:

Abraham Maslow; and his ‘Hierarchy of Needs’ which so beautifully translates to children and the use of signing.

Magda Gerber;  and the principles of RIE, derived from the work of Anni Pikler concerning the respectful care of infants; our roles as parents and educators in providing ‘a deep respect and appreciation of the baby as more than a helpless object’.

Margot Sunderland; author of ‘What Every Parent Needs to Know’ – based on ten years of research on the ‘long term effects of adult / child interactions on the developing brain.’

Sue Gerhardt; author of ‘Why Love Matters’ which explains ‘why love is essential to brain development in the early years of life, particularly to the development of our social and emotional brain systems‘.

The Gessell Institute;  a non-profit organisation dedicated to ‘promoting the understanding and respect of child development’.

as a Speech and Language Therapist I totally support the work that you do.  I recommend Little Signers Club because they are well trained, with excellent programmes and well thought-out class structures’
